I believe we did cross paths at Edtech Karaoke and we visited for a few minutes. I hope to visit with you in Atlanta!

I agree 100% with what you said about Paula. I connected with her back in 2008 and we met for the first time in 2009 at ISTE in DC. We've been plotting and scheming together ever since. She is the most sincere, warm, and generous person I've ever met and I consider her to be part of my family. (My husband and kids love her too!)

BethStillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17587864629271709058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2488505761168063426.post-15288035244293785912013-06-29T12:41:43.423-07:002013-06-29T12:41:43.423-07:00Todd,

I thoroughly have enjoyed each and every one of our converations there and during ISTE. You truly have a way of bringing my "silly" to the surface and I love how I'm able to let loose and laugh when I'm around you. The two incidents you included about me in your post will be forever cherished #ISTE13 memories.

I am so looking forward to learning more about PBL in math class from you, and am excited to connect our classes in the coming year. Please consider me @TechNinjaTodd's (I got it right this time!) #1 groupie. Virtual hugs my friend. I've done a lot of sharing other people's ideas and lurking. There comes a point when we should all realize that we ALL matter, regardless of how small or big our contributions are. Working on that myself! You're one of the first people I started to follow and I'm so thankful you're in my PLN! Carry on! With that...Todd,

Everything happens for a reason.

With that being stated, I'm so happy we had that GHO together immediately before ISTE. What an unexpected plan that lead to the beginning of a cherished friendship!

Who knew that by connecting virtually would be the connection we needed to scream at each other across the busy streets of San Antonio when we first saw each other that early morning. It felt like I was meeting an old friend. I'm so happy we hung out each day and worked to strengthen that bond.

I admire the work you do so very much. Your courage helps me to be a better teacher for my own children. Your creativity inspires me to work harder and remember why I do what I do... not because it's work, but because I love it.

Thank you for putting your heart into this reflective and honest post.

Hugs!!

Erin Klein
Kleinspiration
Erin Kleinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01051699656518325777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2488505761168063426.post-8409613227980451982013-06-27T05:30:19.439-07:002013-06-27T05:30:19.439-07:00Todd, great post and so similar to the feeling in ...Todd, great post and so similar to the feeling in the post I just drafted. Those fears and insecurities are found here too! :) I hope if/when presented with the chance to meet some of the rockstars of education, I can make the obvious positive impression that you've made. You inspire and motivate other educators simply by the energy that surrounds you. You inspire educators like me who have been teaching for 24 years to never forget that YOU matter! ISTE was magical but yet so deeply rooted with deep and meaningful conversations. To be a "life long learner" is not easy but knowing educators like you, makes it easy. Thank you for sharing your passion for teaching. But most of all, thank you for making a difference in children's lives. I too, will follow in your footsteps, making a difference ONE child at a time!!! Great knowing you and looking forward working with your students!! Hugs and more hugs!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08660812503426434418noreply@blogger.com
